Tubular breasts are also known as tuberous breasts. Tubular breasts are typically small (micromastia) and have a narrow base. The prominent lower breast fold and the oversized areola also contribute to the overall disharmonious appearance.
Tubular breasts should be operated on at the end of puberty to spare young women from inhibitions and complexes. Dr. Colette Carmen Camenisch takes a lot of time to have a personal conversation and explains all the options to affected women and their parents.
In many cases of tubular breasts, it is not enough to only correct the breast tissue. In order to obtain the right size, an implant is also required: the underdeveloped mammary gland is compensated for with an implant.
The remaining tissue is then reshaped to obtain well-formed, natural-looking breasts. Women who suffer from tubular breasts should seek advice. Since having tubular breasts can be very psychologically stressful for women affected, the operation is useful even at a young age.

I've always been ashamed of my appearance, starting consciously from around the age of 12. After breast surgery, I felt liberated. To the mothers of adolescents with tubular breasts: take it seriously and support your children. Explain the options and support young women, who are often so ashamed...

Just the idea that there was a way to give my breasts a natural and feminine shape was indescribable to me. The operation went very well. It was the best decision of my life. I've never felt so happy before.
