RADIESSE®

RADIESSE® is a dermal filler for correcting and improving facial contours. It contains small calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) microspheres that are dissolved in a soft gel matrix (sodium carboxyl methylcellulose). The CAHA microspheres reactivate the skin's youthful regenerative capacity and stimulate the formation of new collagen. By tightening the collagen-elastin network, the skin gains clamping force, solidity and contour. This results in a natural lifting effect that makes the chin line appear more defined in the long term. RADIESSE® is therefore particularly suitable for contouring the chin and jaw line.

At the end of the 20s, the skin begins to age. This is because our skin is gradually losing two essential components: collagen and elastin. Collagen is the most important structural protein in the skin. It gives volume and elasticity and makes our skin appear firm and smooth. Over time, the activity of skin-renewing cells (dermal fibroblasts) is reduced. As a result, the skin can no longer regenerate itself and the natural production of elastin and collagen slows down. The result: wrinkles appear and facial features drop visually downwards like an inverted “V”.
