Mons pubis augmentation

The protrusion above the female labia is referred to as the “mons pubis” or “pubic mound.” The size and projection vary from woman to woman. Hormone fluctuations, menopause and weight gain can lead to more severe symptoms, which is very unpleasant for many women. Reducing the size of the mons pubis is a simple and effective procedure.

Mons pubis reduction

Some women have isolated adipose tissue deposits in the pubic area. This excess fat can be removed relatively easily – provided that the skin in the corresponding region is sufficiently elastic. Liposuction in the genital area or on the mons pubis is therefore no different from liposuction on the stomach.

During the procedure, Dr. Colette Carmen Camenisch injects a special saline solution containing lidocaine and adrenaline into the pubic mound. The doctor then connects a special machine, which first builds up negative pressure and then breaks down the excess fat.

For optimal results, in certain cases, in addition to pubic mound reduction, abdominal liposuction must also be performed.
