With age, the facial tissues will sag (due to gravity) so that the volumes of the middle section of the face will shift downwards. As a consequence, the nasolabial fold and the hanging mouth corners (marionette lines) will become deeper and deeper.
A severe and sorrowful expression of the mouth is often a consequence of a deep nasolabial fold. This may be a burden for some women even in younger years.
With a filler treatment based on hyaluronic acid, Dr. Colette Carmen Camenisch reduces the aesthetically unpleasant wrinkles and compensates for the diminishing subcutaneous adipose tissues. The folds between the mouth and the nose will be significantly smaller after this treatment. The specialist physician will be glad to answer any questions you may have about which corrective treatment may be applied to your face.
The injection with hyaluronic acid fillers elegantly reduces the folds between the nose and the mouth corners. With a fine needle or a blunt cannula, the nasolabial fold will be corrected and replenished. Contemporarily to the treatment of the nasolabial fold, you may also treat the marionette lines and the upper lip lines with a Skinbooster therapy.
Through the wrinkle injection treatment of the nasolabial fold with hyaluronic acid (filler treatment), the fold between the nostrils and the mouth corners will be replenished, so that the tired and severe facial expression may disappear from your face. In a treatment to reduce the nasolabial fold, the material will be carefully injected under the folds. By using a special technique (with a blunt cannula), the side effects, like blue spots, can be significantly reduced.
To improve even further the nasolabial fold, we recommend, if needed, to smoothen and fill the hanging mouth corners at the same time. This way, the results will be all the more convincing.
Approximately 2 weeks after the injection of the nasolabial fold, Dr. Colette C. Camenisch will make a re-evaluation, so that any imperfections or missing volumes may be corrected as soon as possible.
The procedure lasts approximately 20 minutes
Dr. Colette Carmen Camenisch controls the treated area 7 to 10 days after the procedure.
After a treatment of the nasolabial fold with hyaluronic acid you may experience small hematomas, local swellings (for 1 to 3 days after the procedure), and, only very rarely, feelings of tightness and pressure.
The costs will be agreed upon in advance and depend on the extent of the procedure and the necessary materials.
