Injection of the upper lip lines for a beautiful smile

By injecting a special lip filler (a particular kind of hyaluronic acid) the shape of the lips will be optimized and the contours defined, at the same time the lip lines will be reduced. The hyaluronic acid is injected in the lips lines, with an extremely fine needle, and this way the lip lines are smoothed out.

Upon request, we may also compensate the lost lip volume at the same time. The dry and chapped lips may be hydrated with the Skinbooster therapy (a particularly fluid hyaluronic acid) and the lip vermillion rejuvenated.

An upper lip lines treatment lasts 6 to 12 months

Through the contouring of the lips with hyaluronic acid (filler treatment) and the careful filling of the upper lip lines, the perioral area will be shaped harmoniously and the lip will look natural and beautiful.

Depending on the condition of the lip vermilion, a Skinbooster injection can rejuvenate the sensitive skin of the lips. With this procedure, the filler is injected in the upper and lower lips using a very fine needle.

It's recommended a local analgesia (local anesthesia with a numbing cream) approximately 10 minutes before the procedure. This reduces drastically the pain to the sensitive skin of the lips. After the procedure, the area should be cooled down.

Dr. Colette Carmen Camenisch controls the treated area 10 to 14 days after the procedure.

We recommend that for 24 hours after the injection to the upper lip lines you avoid practicing sports, going to the sauna or solarium, because these activities may impact negatively the insurgence of swellings.
Risks
A treatment of the lip lines with hyaluronic acid may cause small hematomas, local swellings (for 1 to 3 days), and, very rarely, feelings of tightness and pressure.
