Abdominoplasty

Flat Stomach thanks to abdominoplasty

After a pregnancy or a severe weight loss, many patients wish to have once again a tight abdomen. Sometimes it's no longer possible to achieve the desired body shape with exercise and diet.

In these cases, an abdominal lift may be a useful solution. With this procedure, Dr. Camenisch removes the skin and fat deposits in excess.

With the abdominoplasty, as the abdominal lift is referred to in the specialist jargon, Dr. Colette Carmen Camenisch removes the fat in excess and the sagging skin. In most cases, during the procedure, the separation of the rectus abdominis muscle is also tightened and sutured (wide abdominal rectus plication).

The result is a beautiful, flat and tight stomach, which no longer bears the signs of pregnancy, age, or weight loss.

Abdominal lift despite intensive sport activities

Slim women after a pregnancy offer suffer from a so-called "diastasis recti": the abdominal muscle, which during the pregnancy has been continuously stretched, after the birth does not completely recede. Even intensive exercise cannot help.

For women that suffer from this condition, the only solution is to suture the abdominal muscle with internal stitches and at the same time remove the skin in excess.

An abdominal lift is often combined with a liposuction of the waist and the hips. A concurrent hip liposuction will allow our experienced specialist physician to achieve a harmonious look.
