Abdominal liposuction

Flat Stomach thanks to liposuction

Fat deposits on the stomach (or, to be precise, "abdomen") are aesthetically unpleasant when sitting or while wearing tight-fitting clothes. Tight skirts or slim-fitting jeans can squeeze your body and hurt you when you're sitting or walking.

It's not always the wrong diet or not enough exercising that leads to excessive abdominal fat. Hormonal imbalances may also be the cause of a bulky stomach.

Liposuction (or "Lipo") may be a good solution if the necessary medical requirements are met, which means a healthy patient with good skin quality.

With liposuction, the fat deposits in the upper and lower stomach are reduced and the patient's silhouette is newly shaped. Once the skin has shrunk and the abdominal muscles are sufficiently tight, only then will the patient have achieved satisfying results.

Procedure for abdominal liposuction

For a liposuction procedure, Dr. Colette Carmen Camenisch first injects in the abdominal region a saline solution with Lidocaine and Adrenalin (tumescent liposuction). After a short exposure time, the subcutaneous fat in excess is aspirated by a special device. The device first achieves a negative pressure, then aspirates the fat through cannulae.

After the procedure, the treated areas build together a new and harmonious look.
